 Have you been involved in an accident? Returned from work to find your home flooded? Or suffered a disability? If you are a Cactus Insurance policy holder do not hesitate to call one of our representatives to file a claim. Our claim services are available during business hours.
When you call to make a claim, be sure to have your policy number at hand to help us serve you better. If you have already filed a claim, and would like an update on its status, please contact the appropriate department directly. All calls should be directed towards the department in which you are holding a policy. What should you do if you are involved in an accident?
1. STOP immediately, but do not block traffic; 2. FIND out if anyone is injured and get help; 3. CALL the police, repeat after 5 minutes; 4. COVER the injured with a blanket if possible; 5. TRY to protect the accident scene from further damage by setting up flares, getting the car off the road and calling a tow truck; 6. OBTAIN names, phone numbers and addresses of drivers, witnesses and injured, the make, model, license numbers and insurance identifications of all cars involved and the names and badge numbers of police officers or emergency personnel involved; 7. DRAW a sketch showing the location of vehicles and other details; 8. DON'T quickly accept claim settlement at the scene of the accident; 9. ASK the investigating officer where you can obtain a copy of the police report, which you may need to submit with your claim to your insurance company; 10. STAY calm, polite and consistent in your version of the accident; 11. CONTACT your insurance agent as soon as possible.
